Astronaut Chris Cassidy of NASA and cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Vagner of the Russian space agency Roscosmos lifted off on board Soyuz spacecraft at 4:05 a.m. EDT from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. They make a four-orbit and six-hour journey to the International Space Station.

This is the third spaceflight for both Cassidy and Ivanishin and the first for Vagner. During their mission on the station, they’ll welcome NASA’s Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon, which is currently targeted to launch no earlier than mid-to-late May.

In this video, we hear an cosmonaut talking to a Russian ground station on the VHF frequency 121.750 MHz and signal mode is Narrow FM (NFM). My location(QTH) is Helsinki, Finland and I used basic dipole antenna on my balcony.

In the video below Russian cosmonaut is communicating with ground station.

In the video below, docking completed at 14:21:31 UTC
(Correct frequency is 130.167 MHz.)
